IMV Technologies group is a significant player in the areas of veterinary and medical reproduction biotechnologies and veterinary imaging. IMV Technologies and Cryo Bio System both provide customers with solutions for assisted reproduction, whereas IMV imaging provides customers with veterinary imaging solutions.
IMV Technologies was founded in 1963 by the inventor of the bovine straw, Mr. Robert Cassou, and is now an international company with subsidiaries in 8 countries. Today, IMV Technologies is involved in every step of the breeding chain for farm animals, but also canines, salmonids and camels: from semen collection to pregnancy diagnosis. Our goal is to build products and services which will help breeders reach an optimal fertility rate and improve semen quality.
IMV Technologies provides AI centers, veterinarians and breeders with equipment and consumables, as well as education, to help them in their daily work. We are happy to be able to provide our customers with products for all species, including cows, pigs, poultry, horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, fish and dogs, allowing them to collect, analyse, prepare, package, cryopreserve and store semen, as well as inseminate and check their animals for pregnancies. We are particularly keen to support our customers on a daily basis, for the use of our products, but also to help them develop their skills.
After creating the first French AI and ET center for cattle in 1946, Robert Cassou founded IMV ("Instruments de Médecine Vétérinaire") in 1963. Since 1980, the group has reinforced its international presence by opening subsidiaries in the United States, India, China, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Scotland and Brazil. Beyond the global expansion of the company, our history is full of a long series of innovations, including consumables, solutions to automate technicians' work in AI centers and in biobanks, as well as the creation of new preservation media or cryopreservation solutions.
Polysem products are part of our range for animal reproduction. Polysem is a French brand of protective articles for veterinarians, AI technicians and breeders. They are made to meet users' needs: resistance, flexibility, security and sensitivity.
Leja slides play an important role in our semen analysis product range. Indeed, using calibrated slides is essential to make full use of our CASA systems. These slides are made in the Netherlands and are the only calibrated slides with the precision and reproducibility needed for reliable semen analysis.

Cryo Bio System was founded in 1987 and is the human division of IMV Technologies. Exclusively dedicated to Life Science and Biodiversity, Cryo Bio System strives to provide scientists and physicians with the group’s expertise in the field of cryopreservation of biological samples, with innovative and High Security products. Our complete range of products intended for human application allows the freezing at very low temperature of any biological sample whatever its physical state. Our unique high-security concept for long-term cryopreservation guarantees unsurpassed security and storage quality.
